Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued four charges against licensed trainer Paul Parsons under Australian Harness Racing Rules (AHRR) 187(2) and AHRR 187(6).

AHRR 187(2) states:

A person shall not refuse to answer questions or to produce a horse, document, substance or piece of equipment, or give false or misleading evidence or information at an inquiry or investigation.

It is alleged that during a Stewards inquiry on 15 September 2021 at the Terang harness racing meeting, Mr Parsons gave false or misleading evidence on three occasions.

AHRR 187(6) states:

A person shall not frustrate or endeavour to frustrate an inquiry or investigation.

It is alleged that during a Stewards inquiry on 15 September 2021 at the Terang harness racing meeting, Mr Parsons endeavoured to frustrate the inquiry by interfering with associated evidence.

The charges will be heard by the Victoria Racing Tribunal on a date to be fixed.
