Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards advise that ‘Tale Of The Dragon’, ‘Impetuoso’ and ‘Killer Dragon’ were scratched from their respective engagements at tonight’s Mildura harness racing meeting following a stable inspection at the registered training establishment of trainer Laurie Callick.

As the stable inspection revealed concerns that ‘Tale Of The Dragon’, ‘Impetuoso’ and ‘Killer Dragon’ had been administered a medication, those horses were subsequently scratched under the provisions of Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 193(5).

HRV Stewards further directed that, under AHRR 183(d), the trainers licence of Laurie Callick be suspended pending the completion of this investigation and the final determination of any charges that may be issued.

Additionally, acting under the provisions of AHRR 183(c), Stewards also directed that any horses owned by Laurie Callick and or Mark Callick, shall not be nominated for or start in a race pending the completion of this investigation and the final determination of any charges which may be issued.

As the investigation remains ongoing, no further comment will be made at this time.
