All trainers are reminded that the Club Farrier is present on-course to provide an emergency service. This includes rectifying any shoeing issue which could not be reasonably foreseen such as a horse casting a shoe whilst being transported to the racecourse.

Trainers are advised that for other non-emergency services such as removing shoes prior to, or after a race, trainers should make other arrangements.

Trainers are further reminded that in accordance with Rule 273(2) a horse must be presented with gear which is securely fitted and should a horse be presented to start with insecurely fitted shoes action may be taken by Stewards.
