Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued a charge against licensed trainer-driver Leroy O’Brien under Australian Harness Racing Rule (AHRR) 190(1).
AHRR 190(1) states:
A horse shall be presented for a race free of prohibited substances.
It is alleged that Mr O’Brien presented the horse ‘Im Sir Blake’ to race at the Bendigo harness racing meeting on 10 December 2020, not free of cobalt, a prohibited substance when evidenced at a concentration above the allowable threshold.
The charges will be heard by the Victoria Racing Tribunal on a date to be fixed.
