Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) Stewards have issued charges against licensed trainer Amy Crossland under Australian Harness Racing Rules (AHRR) 190(1) and 119C.

AHRR 190(1) states:

A horse shall be presented for a race free of prohibited substances.

It is alleged that Ms Crossland presented ‘Officially Shady’ to race at Cranbourne on 18 October 2020 when not free of arsenic, a prohibited substance when evidenced at a concentration above the allowable threshold.

AHRR 119C states:

A trainer shall not without the prior approval of the Stewards stable any horse trained by him in any location other than any registered training establishment of the trainer.

It is alleged that on 13 November 2020, Ms Crossland’s horses were stabled at a location other than her registered training establishment without prior approval from the Stewards.

The charges will be heard by the Victorian Racing Tribunal on a date to be fixed.
